A charming and increasingly scarce Victorian wooden money box, beautifully crafted from solid hardwood and retaining its original working lock and key.


The box is enriched by a hand-painted geometric panel to the lid, executed in earthy tones and displaying strong late-Victorian decorative influence, evocative of the Aesthetic Movement’s interest in pattern, symmetry and craft. The decoration remains well preserved, showing gentle, honest wear consistent with age.
