Rare mid-century British industrial oil dispenser/reservoir in original painted finish, branded THELSON Oils & Greases for Kenneth Thelwall Ltd of Doncaster.

An exceptionally scarce survivor from the golden age of British garages, engineering workshops and transport depots, retaining its original red and black paintwork, large alloy screw cap, fixed carry handle and period workshop markings including “Multigrade 20W/50”.

This substantial 25 litre steel lubricant container has outstanding visual presence, with bold white typography against deep red paint creating an iconic industrial aesthetic.

Unlike the smaller Thelson oil cans occasionally seen, large-format commercial workshop reservoirs of this type are extremely difficult to find and appear to survive in very limited numbers.

Presented in untouched original condition with age-related wear throughout including dents, scratches, paint loss and small corrosion perforations consistent with long industrial service.
