Original Haliware “Not For Resale” Petrol Pump Globe – Shell-Mex & BP Ltd

A superb original mid-century milk glass petrol pump globe, boldly displaying the iconic “NOT FOR RESALE” legend to both sides in striking black lettering.

Manufactured by Haliware (British Made) for Shell-Mex & BP Ltd, this highly collectible globe would originally have been fitted to private-use fuel pumps where petrol was intended for company, agricultural or commercial fleet use rather than public sale.

Constructed from heavy opaline milk glass, the globe retains excellent colour, crisp lettering and an attractive period presence. The interior neck carries the original ownership wording:

“Property of Shell-Mex & BP Ltd – Returnable on Demand”

Condition; Excellent original condition. No cracks or repairs. Only a few very minor nibbles around the mounting neck, entirely consistent with decades of installation and removal from a working petrol pump. These are common on original examples and do not detract from display.
