A Early 20th Century Liberty Of London Pre-Raphaelite Style Printed Wooden Panel

A early 20th century pre-raphaelite style wooden panel from Liberty, London. This printed wooden panel depicts “The Dream of Saint Helena,” a painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Paolo Veronese, created around 1570.

The painting portrays Saint Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, in a dream-like state, receiving a vision of the True Cross, the cross on which Jesus was crucified.

In the vision, two angels appear carrying the True Cross, revealing its location to her in a dream, which led to its supposed discovery in Jerusalem.

In overall good condition, the Liberty label is deteriorated, there is some damage to the top left of the panel and frame.
