A charming and evocative period trench art brooch, formed in the shape of an early aircraft and crafted from brass, likely repurposed from spent ammunition or military scrap.


Measuring approximately 1.5 inches in length, the brooch features engraved detailing to the fuselage and wings, capturing the stylised form of early military aviation. The reverse retains its original single arm pin with early C-clasp fastening, a detail consistent with manufacture during the WWI/ WWII or immediate post-war period.


The piece remains in good antique condition, with honest surface wear and a warm aged patina to the brass. The fastening is intact and functional.
