A superb vintage Bakelite ashtray in a deep mottled brown tone, dating to the mid-20th century. This is a classic, understated example of early plastic design, with a pleasing weight, smooth finish, and softly sculpted form typical of the period.


The circular body features four cigarette rests and a gently recessed centre, combining both practicality and timeless industrial styling. The surface displays a rich, almost tortoiseshell-like depth that Bakelite is so well known for, catching the light beautifully.
