£225.00
A complete and well-attributed Art Deco desk set dating to the 1930s, comprising a black moulded base with brass fittings, integrated perpetual calendar, & its original Conway Stewart No. 214 fountain pen.
The pen is clearly stamped “Conway Stewart No. 214 Made in England” with patent number 235447, and is fitted with a 14ct gold nib (size 5), also bearing the Conway Stewart mark. It retains its original lever-filling mechanism & screws securely into the matching holder.
Marked with American & German patent numbers.
Condition; Good overall vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. The base is in good order overall, with small nibbles/losses to the extremities. The pen is unserviced & sold as a decorative piece. The pen holder shows evidence of a historic repair, having been glued to the brass mount. The calendar is complete with all month cards present; however some are heavily faded and one is split.
