A Vintage Transportation For London/ London Underground “BUS STOP REQUEST” Enamel Sign
A vintage single sided London “Bus Stop Request” enamel sign. This type of sign was historically used in areas where buses would only stop if a passenger requested it, either by hailing the bus or signaling to alight.
The design, a simplified version of the London Underground roundel, was created by Hans Schleger in 1935 and introduced in the 1950s for combined bus and Green Line coach services, particularly in suburban and rural routes.
