An original 1962 Crompton Batteries pictorial chart, produced as a large-format trade and advertising display for the Crompton battery range.

Featuring striking period advertising for Golden Crompton and Double-Duty Crompton Batteries, the chart provides an extensive reference to battery applications across a huge range of British and European motor cars, together with capacities, dimensions, retail prices, conversion tables and battery cell and terminal arrangements.

The upper section features the wonderfully graphic “Get away to a flying start” advertising design, whilst the lower sections are packed with fascinating period technical information.

Measuring approximately 25 × 39 inches, this is a substantial example with excellent wall presence and strong period graphics. In good overall condition for its age, with expected age-related marks and minor imperfections, but presenting very well overall.
