Single Sided Lyons’ Ink Pictorial Enamel Advertising Sign

A striking Lyons’ Ink enamel advertising sign, featuring a superb period illustration of a Lyons’ No.1 Blue/Black Writing Fluid bottle.

The sign carries the bold “LYONS’ INK” lettering above and below the central pictorial image, with the additional advertising text “Also for Fountain Pens”. The illustrated bottle itself retains remarkable detail, including the original Lyons’ labelling and period styling.

Manufactured by Patent Enamel Co. Ltd., Birmingham, as marked to the lower edge.

The sign has acquired a wonderfully authentic aged appearance. It displays surface wear, staining, rusting and enamel losses, particularly around the edges and fixing holes, together with general marks commensurate with considerable age and previous use. These imperfections form part of its character and are clearly visible in the photographs.
