A charming original English convex brass porthole mirror dating from the mid-20th century, retaining its original convex “fish-eye” mirror plate within a pressed brass surround decorated with twelve domed bosses.

The mirror possesses the warm mellow patination only achieved through decades of age and use, with subtle wear and light marks that add genuine character without detracting from its decorative appeal. The original convex plate remains clear and reflective, creating the distinctive wide-angle image associated with traditional butler’s mirrors.

The reverse retains its original brass back and hanging loop, confirming it has not been altered or modernised.
