A handsome Edwardian cut crystal biscuit barrel, dating to around circa 1905–1915.
The barrel is formed from cut lead crystal, decorated with a striking geometric pattern of panel cutting and diamond crosshatching that beautifully reflects the light.
It retains its original silver-plated lid with swing carrying handle and decorative finial, giving the piece a classic Edwardian tea table appearance.
The lid is stamped; D&A with globe trademark, EBNS (Electroplated Britannia Nickel Silver), Pattern number G7881
Confirming manufacture by Daniel & Arter, a respected British maker known for supplying electroplated mounts for high quality glass tableware.
The glass cutting reflects the traditions of the famous glassmaking region of Stourbridge, long associated with fine British crystal.
Condition; Excellent antique condition. Crystal is clear with crisp cutting and the original silver-plated lid and handle are present with light age-related wear.
