A finely hand–carved wooden Noah’s Ark set. Comprising a beautifully sculpted ark with removable roof sections & an exceptional collection of paired animals, each figure has been individually carved with careful attention to form, proportion & movement.


Fashioned from richly grained hardwood, the ark displays elegant curves, pierced window details & a stepped gangway, while the animals, from giraffes and elephants to lions, hippopotamuses & smaller creatures; show a tactile, hand-finished quality that speaks to skilled craftsmanship.


This piece originates from mid-20th-century artisan carving traditions, where natural hardwoods & hand tools were used to create expressive decorative objects.


Condition: Very good overall with light, sympathetic wear consistent with handcrafted vintage pieces. The ark displays a small number of minor splits to the wood; these are visible but entirely stable, structurally sound, & do not detract from the aesthetic presence or integrity of the piece.
