A vintage English leather General Purpose saddle by Eldonian Saddlery of Walsall, dating to the late 20th century.


Made in the historic centre of British saddlery production, this piece features a classic GP form with a moderately forward-cut flap and balanced seat. The leather has developed a rich, time-worn patina, with tonal variation and surface character that give it strong visual appeal.


The saddle retains its original structure and straps and displays beautifully as a decorative object. There is visible wear and age-related cracking to the seat, and as such it is offered as a decorative or display piece rather than for active riding.


An authentic and characterful example of traditional English saddlery, ideal for country house interiors, retail displays, or equestrian-themed spaces.
