A Framed Vintage French Advertising Poster For Ripolin Paint

Ripolin was a brand of enamel paint that originated in the Netherlands and became well-known in France.

The poster depicts three men in painter’s smocks using Ripolin paint on various surfaces, including metal (“Métaux”), wood (“Bois”), and plaster (“Plâtre”).

The advertisement mentions that Ripolin won a gold medal at the 1900 Paris Universal Exposition and another at the 1904 St. Louis Universal Exposition.

The brand was also notably used by artists such as Pablo Picasso, although its presence in specific artworks can be difficult to confirm.
