A 1932 Dated Royal Daylight Oil Double Sided Enamel Advertising Sign
A nice example of a 1932 Anglo-American Oil Company Royal Daylight Oil sign. Double sided, date and makers stamp, in good overall condition. The colours remain vibrant, with a strong gloss.
There is the usual chipping, marks etc as seen along with a couple of very minor period touch ups which we have photographed in the last image, for once these aren’t too detracting or noticeable.
We suspect this was once a flanged sign, however, oddly there is no clear evidence of the removal of the flange in terms of damaged enamel or clean/ fresh cutting to the metal.
