19th Century Wooden Pond Yacht, Weighted Keel, Original Sails & Rigging

A wonderfully characterful early wooden pond yacht, approximately 22 inches (56cm) in length, retaining its original cream canvas sails, wooden mast and boom, rigging and weighted keel.

The yacht has an exceptionally attractive traditionally constructed wooden hull, with a long, elegant profile, pronounced keel and beautifully aged timber showing a rich natural grain.

Particularly appealing are the original cream canvas sails, comprising a large mainsail and smaller forward sail, which remain remarkably evocative of the yacht’s intended use. The substantial weighted keel provides the ballast required for stability when sailing, confirming this as a genuine pond yacht rather than simply a static decorative model.
