An very scarce original 1960’s Halifax Dukes speedway advertisement poster. This incredible poster days to the 1960’s and is thought to have been from the Shay Stadium.


Halifax Dukes operated from 1949 until 1985 at The Shay Stadium. The Dukes were named after the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment and used the regiment’s elephant symbol on their race jackets.


The Shay was considered a great asset to British Speedway, known for producing fast and spectacular racing until its closure at the end of the 1985 season.


This poster is in exceptional condition, it has been professionally framed and encased with museum quality glass, affording the poster protection from UV rays and ensuring the rich and bold colours remain just that.
