1860 Pratt Ware Plaque “The Bully“ After
“Mulready”
An 1860’s Pratt Ware plaque depicting “The Bully” featuring the border is known as the 123 border.
In 1851 F & R Pratt displayed some of their wares which they won a gold medal for and they also received An Honourable Award and were granted a Royal Warrant by the Prince Consort, Queen Victoria’s husband “ Prince Albert”. They were printed earthenware, bearing colourful reproductions of well known oil paintings by leading artists, then a novel idea.
In very good condition with no notable wear.
